Groupe IMCG gründet Tochterunternehmen in Deutschland

Die erste Aufgabe der IMCG Industrieservice (IMCG IS) ist die Durchführung von Dienstleistungen zum Schleifen stranggegossener Stahlbrammen zwecks Entfernung von Oberflächenfehlern, mit anschließender Qualitätskontrolle, mittels einer von der Groupe IMCG gelieferten, hochmodernen Brammenschleifmaschine samt zugehöriger Materialhandlingeinrichtungen, im Rahmen eines mit der ARCELORMITTAL Eisenhüttenstadt GmbH (AMEH) abgeschlossenen Liefer- und Servicevertrags.

Mit Hilfe der IMCG IS (und von ONEMET) soll jedoch das gesamte Liefer- und Serviceportfolio der Groupe IMCG, d. h. die Lieferung von maßgeschneiderten Hochleistungs-Produktionsausrüstungen und die Durchführung von qualitativ höchstwertigen Bearbeitungs-Dienstleistungen (inklusive Betrieb und Wartung der Produktionsanlagen, mit fachmännisch geschultem Personal) auch anderen interessierten Kunden aus der deutschen Stahl- und Sondermetall-Industrie verfügbar gemacht werden.

Groupe IMCG founds subsidiary in Germany

The first task of IMCG Industrieservice (IMCG IS) is the provision of services for grinding of continuously cast steel slabs for the removal of surface defects, with subsequent quality control, by means of a state-of-the-art slab grinding machine with associated material handling equipment supplied by Groupe IMCG, within the framework of a supply and service contract concluded with ARCELORMITTAL Eisenhüttenstadt GmbH (AMEH).

With the help of IMCG IS (and ONEMET), however, the entire product and service portfolio of Groupe IMCG, i. e. the delivery of customized, high-performance production equipment and the execution of top-quality material conditioning services (including operating and maintaining the production equipment with professionally skilled personnel) shall also be made available to other interested customers within the German steel and special metals industries.

Groupe IMCG gewinnt Ausschreibung von ARCELORMITTAL Eisenhüttenstadt für das Schleifen von Stahlbrammen

Im französischsprachigen Raum ist die Groupe IMCG bereits seit Jahren als zuverlässiger Dienstleister für die Bearbeitung verschiedener Stahl-Halbzeuge wie Brammen, Blöcke, Knüppel, usw., sowie als Entwickler und Hersteller innovativer, qualitativ hochwertiger Maschinen und Anlagen wie z. B. Hochdruck-Schleifmaschinen oder Hochleistungs-Bandsägen etabliert. Zusammen mit ONEMET ist es IMCG nun erstmals gelungen, eine Ausschreibung in Deutschland zu gewinnen.

Bei ARCELORMITTAL in Eisenhüttenstadt werden stranggegossene Stahlbrammen als Vorprodukt für nachgelagerte Walzprozesse hergestellt. Hauptkunde dafür ist die Automobilindustrie. Um die ohnedies hohe Qualität der erzeugten Produkte noch weiter zu verbessern, soll ein Teil der Brammen einer Oberflächenbehandlung unterzogen werden, um etwaige Oberflächenfehler wie z. B. Risse zu entfernen. Das dafür ausgewählte Hochdruck-Schleifen ist die effizienteste und qualitativ beste Technologie für diesen Zweck; sie ist außerdem extrem umweltfreundlich (keine Verwendung fossiler Brennstoffe, CO₂-neutral) und die beim Schleifprozess entstehenden Späne und Stäube können vollständig wiederverwertet werden.

Im Rahmen des mit ARCELORMITTAL abgeschlossenen Vertrages liefert IMCG die komplette Ausrüstung, deren Herzstück die von IMCG selbst hergestellte Hochdruck-Schleifmaschine ist. Diese hochmoderne Maschine verfügt über ein Stationäres Schleifaggregat, welches mit 2 Schleifköpfen ausgestattet ist – eines zum Schleifen der horizontalen Walzfläche der Brammen mit einer Motorleistung von 400 kW, sowie eines zum Schleifen der vertikalen Seitenflächen mit einer Motorleistung von 200 kW. Zum Schleifen werden die Brammen mittels eines speziellen Schleiftisches verfahren. Das Wenden der Brammen um 180 ° nach dem Schleifen einer horizontalen und einer vertikalen Fläche erfolgt mit einem am Fundament fixierten Brammenwender. Zum Transport der Brammen zur bzw. von der Schleifanlage dient ein neuer, von IMCG gelieferter 30 t-Brückenkran mit Magnettraverse, der einen in diesem Bereich vorhandenen Brückenkran ersetzt.

Neben der Lieferung der Ausrüstung führt IMCG aber auch über einen Zeitraum von 10 Jahren ab Inbetriebnahme der Schleifanlage die Brammenbehandlung als Dienstleistung durch. Dabei ist IMCG nicht nur für den Betrieb und die Wartung der Ausrüstung verantwortlich, sondern auch für das Schleifergebnis, d. h. für das Erreichen der geforderten Durchsatzleistung und der gewünschten Produktqualität. Zur Realisierung dieser Ziele kann IMCG auf das im Laufe der Jahre erworbene Betreiber-Know-How zurückgreifen, was ARCELORMITTAL den Vorteil einer zuverlässigen, qualitativ hochwertigen Brammenbehandlung zu optimalen Kosten und geringstem Risiko bietet.

Groupe IMCG wins ARCELORMITTAL Eisenhüttenstadt's tender for the grinding of steel slabs

In French-speaking countries, Groupe IMCG has already been established for many years as a reliable service provider for the conditioning of various semi-finished steel products such as slabs, ingots, blooms, billets, etc., and as a developer and manufacturer of innovative, high-quality machines and systems such as e. g. high-pressure grinding machines or high-performance band saws. Together with ONEMET, IMCG has now succeeded in winning a tender in Germany for the first time.

At ARCELORMITTAL in Eisenhüttenstadt, continuously cast steel slabs are manufactured as a starting product for downstream rolling processes. Main customer for these rolled products is the automotive industry. In order to further improve the already high quality of the products, some of the slabs shall be subjected to a surface treatment for removing any surface defects such as e. g. cracks. The high-pressure grinding process selected is the most efficient and qualitywise best technology for this purpose; it is also extremely environmental-friendly (no utilization of fossile fuels, CO₂-neutral) and the chips and dusts resulting from the grinding process can be fully recycled.

As part of the contract concluded with ARCELORMITTAL, IMCG will supply all process equipment with the high-pressure grinding machine manufactured by IMCG being the heart piece. This state-of-the-art machine has a stationary grinding unit equipped with 2 grinding heads – one for grinding the horizontal rolling surfaces of the slabs with a motor power of 400 kW and one for grinding the vertical side surfaces with a motor power of 200 kW. For grinding, the slabs are moved longitudinally by means of a special grinding table. Turning the slabs by 180 ° after grinding one horizontal and one vertical surface is carried-out using a slab turning device fixed onto the foundation. A new 30 t bridge crane with magnet attachment (also supplied by IMCG) is used for transporting the slabs to and from the grinding plant, replacing an existing bridge crane in this area.

In addition to supplying the equipment, IMCG will also carry-out the slab treatment as a service for a period of 10 years from the commissioning of the grinding plant. IMCG will not only be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the equipment, but also for the grinding result, i. e. for achieving the required throughput capacity and the desired product quality. To achieve these goals, IMCG can count on the user know-how acquired over the years; this offers ARCELORMITTAL the advantage of reliable, top-quality slab conditioning at optimal cost and lowest risk.

Groupe IMCG: termingerechter Start von Schleif-Dienstleistungen bei UGITECH, Ugine, Frankreich

Die zur Erfüllung dieses Dienstleistungsvertrages benötigte Hochdruck-Schleifmaschine und sonstige Zusatzausrüstungen wurden von IMCG selbst geplant, gebaut und geliefert.

Anfang Oktober 2020 wurde termingerecht mit der Inbetriebnahme der neuen Anlagen begonnen, welche wie geplant absolviert wurde, sodass auch der Produktionsbetrieb zum vorgesehenen Termin noch im Oktober aufgenommen werden konnte.

Ein großer Vorteil des von der Groupe IMCG angebotenen Geschäftsmodells ist, dass der Kunde nicht mehr in die Produktionsausrüstungen investieren muss, um diese dann selbst zu betreiben, sondern dass IMCG die für die jeweilige Aufgabe maßgeschneiderten Maschinen liefert, diese betreibt und wartet und der Kunde nur für die Dienstleistung, exakt nach tatsächlich produzierter Menge, bezahlt - d. h. fast nur Opex statt Capex.

Zur Erfassung und zum Nachweis der durchgesetzten Produktionsmengen, Werkzeug- und Medienverbräuche (als Basis für die Kostenverrechnung an den Kunden) dient ein von der Groupe IMCG selbst entwickeltes, hochflexibles und komfortables Industrie-4.0-Datenmanagementsystem, mit welchem die gelieferten Maschinen ausgestattet sind. Mit diesem System werden auch sämtliche Maschinendaten, Störungen und sonstige Maschinenzustände automatisch erfasst, sodass an Stelle einer rein vorbeugenden Wartung auch eine exakt planbare Wartung machbar ist. Der Abruf der Daten ist über Fernzugriff möglich.

Groupe IMCG: grinding services for UGITECH, Ugine, France have started to date

The high-pressure grinding machine and associated equipment required for fulfilling this service contract were designed, manufactured and supplied by IMCG.

Early october 2020, commissioning of the new equipment started to schedule. Also, production operation commenced at the scheduled date still in October.

An important advantage of the business model offered by Groupe IMCG is that the customer does not have to invest in the production equipment any more in order to then operate them himself. Instead, IMCG supplies at ist own cost the tailor-made machines required for the given application, operates and maintains them, whereas the customer only pays for the material conditioning service according to the actual quantities of processed material – i. e. almost only Opex instead of Capex.

For recording and as a proof of the real production quantities, as well as of tool and utility consumptions (as the basis for invoicing the costs to the customer) a highly flexible and quite comfortable Industry 4.0 data management system developed by Groupe IMCG, with which the supplied machines are equipped, is utilized. This system also automatically collects and records all machine data, malfunctions and other states of the machine. By this means, also predictive maintenance, instead of only preventive maintenance, can be done. Remote access to the data is possible.
