For decades, the name POMINI stood for know-how and experience in the construction of rolling mills for long products. At the beginning of the 2000s, the rolling mill division of POMINI was merged with the long product division of VAI into the JV company VAI-POMINI which also included the rolling mill activities of ASHLOW and GFM. After that, in the times of SIEMENS-VAI and later PRIMETALS, the name POMINI as a provider of technologies for the rolling of long products disappeared from the market for a couple of years.

However, the know-how and the majority of expert employees have not been lost. And since autumn 2021, POMINI Long Rolling Mills is again present on the market as an independent, highly-specialized company with a broad portfolio for the rolling of steel bars, wire, profiles and rails. In addition, the „historic“ brands POMINI, ASHLOW and GFM, as well as the experience of more than 500 installed mills in more than 70 countries, it is above all the focus on improving existing and on developing new, innovative solutions that makes the „new“ POMINI Long Rolling Mills the leading supplier of rolling mills for long products.


Regardless of whether it is a matter of complete lines, specific production solutions, the delivery of new plants or the modernization of existing ones, or of comprehensive services for the entire life cycle of rolling mills: POMINI Long Rolling Mills has the right answers for the customers‘ requirements – with digitally controlled systems, precisly manufactured and professionally integrated equipment for the highest demands.

Über Jahrzehnte hinweg stand der Name POMINI für Know How und Erfahrung im Bau von Walzwerken für Langprodukte. Anfang der 2000er-Jahre wurde die Walzwerkssparte von POMINI mit dem Langprodukt-Bereich der VAI im JV-Unternehmen VAI-POMINI, in das auch die Walzwerks-Aktivitäten von ASHLOW und GFM einflossen, verschmolzen. Danach, zu Zeiten von SIEMENS-VAI und später PRIMETALS, verschwand der Name POMINI als Anbieter von Technologien für das Walzen von Langprodukten für einige Jahre vom Markt.

Nicht verloren gegangen sind aber das Know How und der Großteil der Fachleute. Und seit Herbst 2021 ist POMINI Long Rolling Mills wieder als eigenständiges, hochspezialisiertes Unternehmen mit einem breiten Portfolio für das Warmwalzen von Stabstählen, Draht, Profilen und Schienen am Markt präsent.
