Schon seit Jahren beteiligt sich VIDEO SYSTEMS an verschiedenen, gemeinschaftlichen Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekten auf europäischem Niveau. Im Jahr 2021 war man insbesondere mit 2 derartigen Projekten erfolgreich: „InterQ“ und „DynCoMM“.

  “InterQ“  ist ein sehr wichtiges Projekt für VIDEO SYSTEMS. Es zielt darauf ab, die Qualität in allen Bereichen der industriellen Produktion, insbesondere in den Bereichen Automotive, erneuerbare Energien und Aerospace, zu erhöhen. Dabei werden Prozessqualität, Produktqualität und Datenqualität entlang der gesamten Produktionskette miteinander verknüpft. Weiters kommt eine neue Generation digitaler Technologien und KI-basierter Lösungen wie z. B. virtuelle Sensoren, digitale Zwillinge, Data Fusion, usw. zur Anwendung. Koordiniert wird dieses Projekt, an dem außer VIDEO SYSTEMS noch 23 andere europäische Partner beteiligt sind, vom spanischen IDEKO Centro Tecnológico.


Am Projekt „DynComMM“ (Dynamic Collaborative Control of Mobile Manipulators for Complex Picking“), welches auf die Entwicklung agiler Prozesstechnologien abzielt, sind außer VIDEO SYSTEMS die spanischen Unternehmen IKERLAN und Electotécnica AVILES beteiligt. Es handelt sich dabei um ein Unterprojekt des Projekts „Trinity“ im Rahmen des „Horizon 2020“-Forschungs- und Innovationsprogramms der Europäischen Union und wird mit Mitteln der EU gefördert.

For several years already, VIDEO SYSTEMS participates in different collaborative research and development projects at European level. In 2021, the company succeeded especially with 2 of such projects: „InterQ“ und „DynCoMM“.

  “InterQ“is a very important project for VIDEO SYSTEMS. It aims to imporove the quality in all areas of industrial production, particularly in the automotive, renewable energy and aerospace sectors. Process quality, product quality and data quality are linked along the entire production chain. Furthermore, a new generation of digital technologies and AI-based solutions, such as e. g. virtual sensors, digital twins, data fusion, etc. are used. The project, in which VIDEO SYSTEMS and 23 other European partners are involved, is coordinated by the Spanish IDEKO Centro Tecnológico.


In the project „DynComMM“ (Dynamic Collaborative Control of Mobile Manipulators for Complex Picking“) that is focussing on the development of agile process technologies, VIDEO SYSTEMS and the Spanish enterprises IKERLAN und Electotécnica AVILES are involved. It is a sub-project of the project „Trinity“ within the framework of the „Horizon 2020“ research and development programs of the European Union and is funded by the EU.

The Italian company VIDEO SYSTEMS s. r. l., specialized on innovative solutions in the fields of visualization and artificial intelligence (AI) for maximizing the quality of products and increasing the efficiency of production processes in different industry sectors, has nominated ONEMET as their representative for their „Adamantis“ product line for the steel an d non-ferrous metals industry in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Slovenia.
The „Adamantis“ product line comprises intelligent systems for inspecting cold and hot material surfaces (e. g. for detecting cracks and other defects on ground or raw surfaces of slabs, ingots, blooms or billets), technologies for profile measurement and analysis, sensors for recognizing cold and hot products during the process flow, image recording systems for rolling mills, reheating and melting furnaces, solutions for length and speed measurement, as well as other visual-based AI solutions in the sense of „Industry 4.0“.

VIDEO SYSTEMS is active in the fields of visualization, data processing and AI since 1993. Annually, about 21,000 working hours are dedicated to R & D. Moreover, the company maintains a cooperation with Universities and international research centers. Also, VIDEO SYSTEMS is a member member of the Europe-wide „Zero Defect Manufacturing Platform“, which – amongst other entities - includes e. g. the German FRAUNHOFER Institute or the Upper Austrian company PROFACTOR. On over 1,700 m² of workshop space in their own factory in Codroipo (Udine), VIDEO SYSTEMS is able to carry-out large-scale trials, as well as to assemble and test the finally designed systems.

The results are innovative but also well-engineered equipment and solutions for the benefit of the customers. Due to the cooperation between VIDEO SYSTEMS and ONEMET, producers and processors of steel and non-ferrous metal products in the entire German-speaking market, Western Switzerland and Slovenia shall now also be able to benefit from this.
