The GFM radial forging machine, type SX-13 that was previously installed at the works of a well-known quality steel producer in Germany has found a new owner from Eastern Europe whom it will hopefully serve well for many years. Chances for this are good as the machine was regularly maintained by its former owner and professionally overhauled after being dismantled before shipment to its new destination.
The entire deal was handled by the Italian company SEAUD s. r. l., a family-owned enterprise and partner of ONEMET. In one of their business lines, SEAUD is very successful in trading of second-hand machinery. Normally, SEAUD buys the used machines first and then sells them to interested customers. SEAUD also takes care of a proper dismantling and – if desired or necessary – a professional revamping of the equipment.
Since the forging sector is normally not part of SEAUD’s core competences (the subject SX-13 was the first radial forging machine that found its way to its new owner via SEAUD), ONEMET was allowed to provide assistance in the search for potential buyers. Finally, the sale of the used SX-13 could be completed to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
